■Deadlines. 2011/2012 academic year calendar hasn’t been published yet. However, you may reach Lecco campus and enrol in September, tentatively till Wednesday 28 September 2011 included (deadline to be confirmed). The enrolment period normally lasts at least two weeks, hence we may assume it beginning in mid-September.
■Tuition fees. These days, the admission office is asking you to confirm your admission by paying € 144,00. Besides that, admitted candidates shall or shall not pay more later depending on their typology:

UniverLecco scholarship recipients do not directly pay anything else for the rest of the academic year (the remaining tuition being part of the grant);
1. EU citizens pay an extra amount – ranging from 0 up to € 3’156 – according to their family incomes;
2.All non-EU students pay € 3’156 more per year, for a total of  € 3’300.
3.In September and before enrolment, all admitted candidates – except UniverLecco recipients – will pay € 794: the rest, if due, will be charged in May 2012

■Enrolment. At the time of enrolment, you’ll submit:
1.Receipt of tuition fee payment (and photocopy);
2.Fiscal code certificate (and copy);
3.Copies of admission letter (verified by the competent Italian diplomatic representative), passport and post receipt of stay permit application;
4.Declaration of value;
5.Diploma and transcript (original or certified copies, both translated and legalized)

■Financial aid. Self-supporting students have many opportunities to get financial aid and support their studies:
1. DSU grant – a new call will be published next summer;
2.MAE grant;
3.After enrolment, EU citizens may apply for a loan;
4.In precise periods, they can apply for in-campus part-time collaborations, that can be done once per year for a total amount of 150 hours paid 13€/hour; the collaborations mainly consist of back-office tasks in support to our administration offices (library, registrar’s office etc.)

■Job opportunities. Non-EU citizens residing in Italy with a study permit can work part-time – up to 20 hours per week – for a total amount of 1’040 hours per year, while EU citizens are not subject to this time restriction. It’s not that difficult to find a job through a temporary job agency in Lecco if you have at least some basic communication skills of Italian language. Furthermore, during your studies and after graduation, our Career Service will support your search for internships and jobs
■Italian courses. Lecco campus organizes free Italian courses held on Saturday mornings from 9.30 to 12.30. During the first term, beginner and pre-intermediate level are taught, during the second pre-intermediate and intermediate levels replace the previous two
■Accommodation. Regrettably, being quite a small campus in a city of roughly 50’000 inhabitants, Lecco campus is able to grant accommodation only to UniverLecco scholarship recipients, whilst self-supporting students can only be re-addressed to hotels, b&b and estate agencies and supported – till possible – in their search. This summer, UniverLecco scholarship recipients will be offered accommodation in one of the above-mentioned residences, depending on availabilities; they may confirm or reject the offer. A refusal will not affect the scholarship, you’ll simply get the money without any accommodation cut

■ UniverLecco scholarship. It can be paid only onto a bank account opened in Italy, since international payments are not allowed. The scholarship will be paid in quarterly installments (mid-October, January, April and July): accommodation costs will be taken in divided rates from each one. The scholarship is extended to the second year of your studies if the student meets specific requirements, that will be notified at the time of enrolment

Estos son los requisitos para el procedimiento para la declaración de valor. Quienes vayan a realizar una maestría en inglés no deben presentar el certificado de italiano. Les recomendamos pedir la cita con tiempo.

1. Carta solicitud del interesado especificando el nombre del posgrado que prentende cursar en Italia
2. Fotocopia de la cédula de ciudadanía;
3. Si su curso es en italiano; debe presentar Certificado de italiano – “4 niveles”expedido por el Istituto  Italiano di Cultura;

5. Carta de admisión o pre-aceptación a la universidad (sí la tiene ).

a) Secretaría de Educación si el Diploma fue expedido en Bogotá; Gobernación del Departamento si fue expedido fuera de Bogotá;

b) Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores colombiano (Apostille);

c) Traducción con traductor oficial;

d) Legalizar la firma del traductor ante el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores colombiano (Apostille);

7. Original Acta de Grado de Bachiller (sin legalizaciones ni traducción);

8. Original Diploma de Grado universitario legalizado ante:

a)   Ministerio de Educación Nacional*

b)  Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores colombiano (Apostille);

c) Traducción con traductor oficial;

d) Legalizar la firma del traductor ante el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores colombiano (Apostille);

9. Original Acta de Grado universitaria (sin legalizaciones ni traducciones)

10. Original de notas universitarias indicando el promedio acumulado por el estudiante y legalizarlas o sea (apostille) luego la traducción y por último  legalizar la firma del traductor ante el Ministerio  de Relaciones Exteriores. Certificado de promedio total de la carrera (en español)

11. Certificado de la universidad colombiana indicando duración de la carrera, título de la tesis de grado o del proyecto final. En caso que la carrera no prevea tesis o proyecto final, especificarlo en el certificado. (Legalizarlo igual que en el punto 10);

NOTAS:

·         El sello del Ministerio de Educación Nacional debe especificar que “ la institución de Educación superior que expide el presente documento está debidamente reconocida y autorizada por el Gobierno Nacional”.
